Who we are

The hands that built this company are still on the trowel.

Aguilera Construction is a father-and-son business. The craft — masonry, stonework, tile — belongs to a father who has spent his working life building things the right way: patient, precise, and made to outlast the person who paid for them.

The next chapter belongs to his son, who is carrying the family name forward, bringing the same standards to more homes across Boston and greater Massachusetts.

Most of what we do is masonry, patios and walkways, and tile and ceramic work, with general construction around it. We work in English and Spanish.

We’re not the biggest crew in Boston. That’s the point.

When you hire Aguilera, the person who quotes your job is the person who cares whether it’s perfect.

What guides the work

Four things we don’t bend on.

  1. Do it right, or do it again — so we do it right.

    Proper base under every patio, tight joints in every wall, clean grout in every bathroom. Masonry and tile are unforgiving trades: a crooked line shows forever.

  2. Your home, treated like ours.

    A clean site at the end of every day, and straight answers while the work is going on. We’re inside your house. We act like it.

  3. An honest number, in writing.

    You get a written quote before any work starts, and no surprises on the bill. Estimates are free, always.

  4. Our name is on the work.

    Big job or small repair, it gets the same attention. Your home is not a number in our pipeline, and there is nobody here for us to pass the blame to.

What we’re building.

A company you can call again.

The patio this year, a bathroom three winters from now — and your name passed on to a neighbor in between. That is what we’re working toward, and there is only one way to get it: the work has to hold up, and we have to be easy to deal with.

So we would rather grow slowly on jobs we did right than quickly on jobs we rushed. Every year we put a little more structure behind the craft: clearer quotes, better scheduling, tighter follow-through. All of it for that reason.
